A cylinder of natural travertine with a walnut band around its middle, hung on a black cord. The stone is left open at the base, so the light falls straight down onto the surface below.
Key Features
- Real stone, not a finish. The travertine carries its own pitting and grain, which differs from one piece to the next.
- Wood against stone. A walnut band breaks the cylinder in two and warms the pale stone above and below it.
- Light straight down. The open base sends the light onto the table rather than out into the room.
- The bulb comes out. A GX53 lamp twists free, so the light can be changed without taking the fitting down.
